Targeted therapy's side effects depend on the specific type of targeted therapy you receive and how your body reacts to it, according to the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI). The most common side effects may include diarrhea and liver problems. Other effects can include problems with blood clotting and wound healing, high blood pressure, fatigue, mouth sores, nail changes, loss of hair color, and skin problems such as rash or dry skin.
