# What is Epikriz?

> The Turkish term for a hospital discharge summary — often used interchangeably with "taburcu özeti" for the same document.

Epikriz is the standard Turkish word for the written summary a hospital gives you at the end of a stay — your diagnosis, tests, treatment, and condition at discharge. It's the same document a Turkish hospital might also call a "taburcu özeti"; the two words are commonly used for the same thing, not two different documents.
