Multiple myeloma is a cancer that forms when abnormal plasma cells build up as tumors in bone or soft tissue.

Plasma cell neoplasms occur when abnormal plasma cells form cancerous tumors in bone or soft tissue. When more than one such tumor develops, it is called multiple myeloma.
