Editorial & sourcing policy
What we consider a reliable source, the honest current state of our price and physician-review process, how AI assistance is used in building this site, and how we correct mistakes. Version 1.0, effective .
What we consider a reliable source
For medical-mechanism statements: the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI), and equivalent national/international clinical-guideline bodies (NCCN, ESMO). For regulatory and authorization statements about Turkey: official .gov.tr sources — the Ministry of Health, USHAŞ, and HealthTürkiye. We link the exact page a claim comes from, with the date we checked it, rather than restating a fact without attribution.
Price-collection methodology — current state
The Turkey Oncology Price Index is designed to be built from verified, itemized partner-hospital quotes, refreshed quarterly. Today, every figure in it is an illustrative placeholder pending the first verified quotes, expected Q3 2026 — we say so on every page the index appears, including this one. See the price index itself for the current placeholder state.
Physician review — current state
The stated policy is that every second-opinion assessment is signed by name by the reviewing physician, and that named, verified reviewer profiles back every piece of medically-reviewed content. Today, named-physician review is being onboarded and is not yet live. We do not name a physician as having reviewed anything until a real, consented physician actually has — see what is verified on this site today.
AI-assistance disclosure
This site is built and maintained with the help of AI coding assistants, working from an explicit, standing instruction never to fabricate data — real prices, credentials, reviews, or regulatory status must be gated as illustrative/placeholder until genuine, verified records exist, with no exceptions. Regulatory and statistical claims are checked against live official sources at authoring time rather than generated from memory. Human editorial judgment sets that instruction and reviews the result.
Versioning and freshness
Dated content (answers, FAQ items, guides) carries a real last-edited or last-checked date — never a mass-applied or invented one. See the updates log for a dated history of what has actually shipped on this site.
