Bladder cancer
Bladder cancer is cancer that develops when cells in the bladder — the hollow organ in the lower abdomen that stores urine — begin to grow out of control.
Bladder cancer occurs when cells in the bladder start to grow without control. The bladder is a hollow, balloon-shaped organ in the lower part of the abdomen that stores urine. As with other cancers, the stage of bladder cancer refers to the extent of the cancer, such as how large the tumor is and whether it has spread.
Bladder cancer is usually staged using the TNM (tumor, node, metastasis) staging system.
