Can I get targeted therapy for cancer in Turkey?

Yes — but only if your tumor has a matching target. The National Cancer Institute explains that targeted therapies act on specific molecules — such as HER2, EGFR, ALK, BRAF, or BRCA — that drive a cancer, so biomarker or molecular testing of the tumor, or a liquid biopsy, has to find an actionable target first; without a match, the drug will not help. Istanbul centers offer both the testing and the drugs. Bring your pathology and any genomic testing to a free case review so the right test is confirmed before treatment. You can also verify a hospital's state authorization yourself.
